What a shame. Seemed like a nice feller from what I knew of him.

It does seem like such a waste. Brokeback Mountain in particular was a great film and it sounds like he had a great future ahead of him.

Can't help but think 'Daft b*gger', though.

Is it known what happened yet? I've been really looking forward to the new Batman film where he plays the Joker. A mate told me that he found playing the role so distressing that he was having trouble sleeping, hence the pills. Sounds a bit dramatic as I can't imagine the character or plot is going to be that dark.
  • Maybe it's me but after looking at the trailer I just dont think the joker is that distressing a role an actor would have trouble sleeping

Considering what he had to er, perform in 'Brokeback Mountain' I shouldn't think a cartoon villain would be too much for him...
  • i'm so sad about all of this, i found this video on torrent and it's really beautiful: http://www.mininova.org/tor/1130032

I dont feel sorry for him at all. Yeah he might have had problems but then who doesent and it certainly was not money or health probs. I fail to see why the general public 'feel' sorry for actors whom they never even spoke too and only watched them performing on the screen. His greiving should be for family and real friends only.

Its quite a common event now for film/music stars or the very wealthy to die young and I think its partly due to drugs and the unbelievable amount amount of hype generated about them in the media and also they can get almost anything thay want due to their fame and wealth. But when thay are faced with problems that cannot be sorted out with money or PR people thay just cannot take it.

Grace...there...but....God....not come to mind AT ALL?

I'd never heard of the guy til he died, but still sad to hear of any wasted young life, talented or otherwise.

And, it is reported, when his masseuse found him, she called, not 911, but one of the Olsen twins to ask what to do.

The idiot Olsen (assuming the report is true) didn't call 911 either, but called private security people to go there, who, finally, called 911

Apparently Jack Nicholson warned him the role of the Joker would be a depressing one. Interesting doncha think.

I've gotta agree with ths... It s sad he is dead, but isn't it just as sad for the young mother who was killed in a traffic accident? She never gets a mention,
