What a great morning for a commute ( ignoring the wind ) dry roads, not much traffic and the last 3miles in daylight, it's a funny feeling commuting in the daylight after spending the last few months in the pitch black....

Happy Days 8)

Even the wind was less than it has been throughout the rest of the week. Happy days indeed.

Seconded - and the wind was at my back on the way - so I was fair motoring along. The daylight does make it much more cheery all round - the evening commutes are getting quite warm too - the other night I unzipped my jacket and took off my gloves half way.
  • Yeah it did get lighter earlier this morning. I also noticed it getting darker later last night.

My commute involves cycling in a westerley direction for 8 miles. The head wind was quite harsh. I will have it on my back on the way home though. :D

Proper windy in Warrington this morning, but thankfully dry and was beginning to get light at 0720.

Yeah, weather's starting to improve slightly. Started to see more other commuters on my ride in now.

I was thinking that the number of commuters had actually fallen over the last week or so. Had put it down to new year resolutions to get fit being broken and people getting bored of two-wheeled Christmas presents. Certainly the first few days of January were uncommonly bike-busy.

It's lovely just catching the last of the daylight as I leave work now. Beautiful clear sky with all the different colours of dusk.

Much better than the horrible murky orange street lights turn the sky.

Ah, no bike washing and all the way - thats all the way home in the light! (alright our tutor let us out a bit early!)
The morning ride was about as good as it gets - no one cut me up, tailgated or did anything stupid! Nasty wind on the way home but light and dry makes up for that! Roll on summer shorts and t-shirts . . .

One fine day in the middle of the night, two dead men got up to fight. Back to back they faced each other, drew their swords and shot each other.

    Lucky folks
Here the wind was mental. It was hard to stand or walk, never mind cycle. Still is now - trucks, caravans, roofs all going down. I hate the wnd!
