Hi,
Thanks for the help in the past.I have aquired my first bike with a set of avid Juicy 7 discs on it (2006 model) second hand.
Just a few questions.
Are the rotors suppose to have the black reidue of the pads on them?
With regards to the wear indicator on the pads. do I have to physically take the pads out to see this?
If and when i need to replace the pads should I buy sintered or ceramic pads? i commute all year on a mixture of tarmac and wet woodland?
As the bike was second hand I do not have the manuals, and i have checked out the SRAM site.
Many thanks y'all

sounds like you need to clean the pads/discs.

there are no wear indicators but there is a recommended minimum thickness. info is in the manual that is downloadable from RS's webby. link in the tech links sticky.

pad type depends on the conditions. Wet and muddy sintered last longer.
