I've a Pike 454 Air-U-Turn 2008 fork. I also have 2007 XT brakes with RT77 centre lock discs. The discs are 160mm but I am getting 203mms.

I need to buy an adaptor but haven't a clue which one. IS, post mount, ????

Thanks.

fork is IS (NOT IS 20mm try looking at the sticky in tech) and the caliper is?

    The caliper is M765.

Which I am guessing is IS mount too. So if I put my thinking cap on the right way round, I need IS to IS 203mm adaptor?

    Thats the one Nick.

I don't get this bit though,

    (remove post to is adaptor).

The caliper is a post mount then, thats what we are saying? The fork is also post mount?

I'm struggling with this one I'll admit!

in the picture above the caliper is Post mount but it is attached to an IS adaptor (black) to allow it to fit an IS fork. so you need a IS (fork) to POST (caliper) 203mm adaptor and then rempve the current IS to POST 160mm adaptor.

    Thanks Nick.

Also, Will the XTR rotors fit just the same as the XT ones would? Provided that they both have the centrelock/lockring feature?

The XT ones don't get as good feedback as the XTR ones, and they are only about a fiver more.

AS long as they have the Correct center lock for your hub. Shimano do 2 versions.

Just to confuse the issue Pikes need a narrower IS to post mount than standard, be careful when buying! I found out the hard way and ahd to wait another 2 days while CRC sent me one!

I have Hayes calipers, but the post mount is the same as your Shimanos.

I bought the q/r version of THIS (eventually!! I have Pikes and you would assume that they would require the 20mm version, wouldn't you, but OHHH noooo, they have to be difficult...).

Fasten this to your forks, then remove all other adaptors from the caliper and fasten to the new adaptor installed on your forks. Align the caliper over the disc and bingo - job done.
