Small hills, like up Glentress. Looking for a full bouncer that will be able to cope in Portes du Soleil and let me ride up hills at trail centres. I'm thinking 6-7" travel and something fairly light.
As many bikes that you can think of. So i can do some research.
The cheaper the better, links to bargains would be appreciated!

Cheaper usually means heavier though! Any weight in mind, and budget?0

Weight, i'm not sure. <35lbs? Does that sound reasonable? Looking to spend £700 max! 2nd hand i think is my best plan0

If you are happy with that weight for your hills, then sure! You do see some around 30lbs at 6inch of travel, but the cost is much more. You are going to struggle to get a new bike with all that travel for 700 quid that doesnt weigh a bomb! 2nd hand an option, but need to look over the bike carefully.0

I ride a haro x6 LT. my first full susser, and its not that bad. I have done some downhill at Diablo downhill freeride park as well as some freeride there. I love the bike and it has 6 in of travel weighs 32lbs0

Do you really need a freeride specific bike, or would something all mountain do?
I get a bit confused with the multitude of MTB categories these days, but I thought all mountain was supposed to be a fairly burly bike that can still climb.0 -
rutland cycles have a 2006 marin alpine trail at £750 could be the sort of thing you need. up to 6" of travel fairly robust. you might want a coil spring for the alps though.
