you know when you are watching a vid of a good rider and he flicks the back wheel out, while its on the ground, to slow down and change direction on a bend - how do you do that? Is it a dab of the brake or does it involve moving the wheel with your body?

cheers

  • From my bmx days when i was young (a long time ago!), just used your body weight, kick your heel in whatever direction you wanted the rear.
Might be wrong...memorys fading fast :?

Its a powerslide, in a fashion, there was either a Top Tricks bit on it on Extreme or I read it in a bback issue of MBUK. Basically its just movement of bodyweight and takes alot of practice...wear some pads

oooh i love doing this. often use it on my brakeless bmx to slow down a touch or on tight descents flick the back out on a corner.
