John Grimshaw, founder and boss of transport charity Sustrans, will step down from his post later this year.The Bristol-based charity behind the 12,000-mile National Cycle Network was 30 last year.

Hmmm, might be good timing given the plans to convert the Flagship (and first Sustrans Route) the Bristol to Bath Railway Path into a Bus Rapid Transit Route[/url}. I imagine that woul be a heartbreaking battle for him to lose (assuming he would be opposed - hope so!). I am not so sure buses, even using LPG, count as sustainable transport.
