Wheelbuilding is a difficult thing without the correct tools. Youd need a sturdy truing stand, a dishing tool, a spoke key, preferably a spoke tension meter and most probably someone to teach you. Best advice is take it to your lbs. 20 quid later and youre sorted.0

I think he meant chaining the freehub from one spline type to another.0 -

I've done quite a few with only a spoke key from that list! And a quick DIY guidance note!
But I think same as redddragon as to the actual Q (and to that I don't know the answer).d.j.

Yes just to change the spline not the whole hub0

surely you just need to buy a freehub and change it for one compatable with the cassette you wish to use . :?
If I understand correctly Steve your mavic wheels have a campag compatable freehub fitted and you want to fit a Shimano cassette yes ? then you just need to buy and fit a Mavic/ Shimano freehub0 -
Normally a pretty easy job. Think it's just a couple of 5mm allen keys that are needed.0

Other way round shim to campy havent got any yet but seems to be more shimy hubbed pairs for sale second hand0

Yup - presuming you're talking Ksyrium SSC wheels, then it's easy to fit a replacement freehub. You need to remove the hub spindle and then the freehub itself - Instructiojns should be on Mavic website, spare freehub is about £50.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
