Rigid Fork for Kona Cinder Cone

I have an old Kona Cinder Cone (1999) which I am using for commuting to work. The seals on the Marzocchi forks which came with the bike have seen better days and I would like to buy some cheap rigid forks as a replacement. Can anyone recommend anything for about £100?

How about a Kona Project 2?0

The triple butted version - lighter than the standard, and more compliant. Only weighs about 750g too! Do you run discs?0 -
Nope i'm on the original cantilevers still...
I've thought about Kona Project 2, are they a decent fork?0 -
Oh yes! One of the best steel rigids there is. Probably THE best! Cheap, light, tough... cant see a reason to spend more unless you go for a carbon legged one.0

Brilliant, glad to here it... guess I just need to check my wheel size and get the bank card out!0

Should be a standard 26 inch, and I am guessng your steerer on the zocchis and headset is the stand inch and a eighth. If so you are in business!0

Yeah it's definitely 1 1/8" but want to check the wheels before I order anything...!
Do you think it's worth paying £100+ to get the old zocchi bomber z5 flylights repaired and serviced?0 -
Not really TBH - you can pick up a new Zocchi MX Pro for about 140, with external rebound adjust, alloy uppers and one piece lowers - a better performing, stiffer fork.0

Yeah, I've been hesitant to spend any money on them... hence the decision to go for a cheaper rigid fork.
Thanks for all your advice!0 -
You can pick up so perfectly good sus forks for 80-90 quid at CRC - The RockShox Tora. Its a bit weighty, but some have a lockout. Great fork. However would question it for just commuting!0
