I need a new rear while for my Scott Reflex 26 inch black wheel. It has the shimano disc fitted to the old wheel by some sort of system i don't understand, maybe called disc lock? Can anyone recommend a wheel to buy and tell me how to remove the old disc and refit?

Thanks.

Whats wrong with the old wheel you have? is it buckled beyond repair? might be able to get it repaired save you money. i think the shimano disc you have is a splined system (a shaft with grooves in it) but not sure how to remove as not familliar with it sorry, but i'm sure somebody will be along soon with the know how.

The rotors are removed with a cassette lockring tool.

Rear mech went threw spokes, snapped four and totalled six others. Rebuilt with new spokes but the wheel keeps on going back out of shape and spokes seem to come loose even when loctited?

If i take disc of with casett tool will it fit onto any wheel?

Sounds like the wheel has had it. They need to be retensioned properly. If the rim is warped, this is hard.

The rotor will fit onto a compatible hub, yes. Two main tyoes: 6 bolt and splined.
