Rack mounted Stuff

Hello all,
I was wondering whether anyone has any tips on how to affix a briefcase to a bicyle rack? I already have 2x Ortlieb bikepacker plus panniers for soft things but I have a big old battered aluminium briefcase for my laptop and meeting stuff.
It'd be nice if I could get some sort of fixing that would allow it to be vertical alongside the rack and not laid across the top tied on with bungees as i really don't want to risk it falling off.
Any help would be great
Cheers, Joe.

get yourself a cargo net that motorcyclists use for crap on the back seat they're usually only a fiver. my missus uses panniers and straps stuff on top of her rack (lol her rack  )with one of these. you'd be amazed at the crap she can bring home on the bike. you should easily be able to get the briefy on with one.
