Okay Guys, I've finally got the funds so which hardtail do I go for. I'm looking at around the 300-350 quid mark. I have a few that I fancy looking at:
GT Avalanche 3
Mongoose Tyax Elite
Giant Terrago
Specialized Hardrock Sport disc
These are the main 4 i've been looking at because I can have a look at them at my lbs. Any feelings on these would be appreciated, I know how they feel will be a big influence so i'm looking for coments on componentry as i'm not that clued up on whats what.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated because although the above are available at my lbs, I don't live to far away from Evans at chill factor e and Leisure lakes bikes at preston so a journey out to those wouldn't be out of the question.

Have you tried any of them out? Fit is important. Of the bikes you mention, the Mongoose is probably the 'best' - but do test it.0
