Hi all, having given up hockey after many years I wanted a new hobby and having been commuting to work this year and becoming a keen spinner I have purchased a road bike. I am now looking to get involved in cycling a bit more and look to cycle with other beginners and hopefully learn a few things to improve. Has anyone got any tips of how to go about finding groups to cycle with?
Thanks
Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum,
Depending on what sort of riding you are planning to do:
British Cycling - lists any cycling clubs affiliated to BC (leaning to racing / competition):
http://www.britishcycling.org.uk/web/si ... Finder.asp
Cycle Touring Club - more leisurely rides:
http://www.ctc.org.uk/DesktopDefault.aspx?TabID=3404
If you are thinking of joining a club, the general opinion on here seems to be try a few local to you and see which one suits the sort of riding you are in to.
Failing that you could post a "Ride buddy needed in.........." message in the "Rides" section.0 -
Thanks for that inforamation, that's really useful. I might try out a couple of rides then. Suppose my fear is being the one at the back!!0
