The rain that is....
3rd week on the run and it's raining. I'm not normally one to complain about the weather, it's part of living and commuting in the UK. But after weeks of constant raining it's really starting to persist me off and question just why I'm sat on my bike in the rain, I really struggled to get out the door this morning, I was actually close to ringing in sick so I could just stay home..
Anyone else get fed up with the weather ? Are we mad ? Hopefully it's just a phase and my 'mojo' will return soon ( along with some dry weather )
And breathe and relax, rant over....
Have a good day

....and the wind...but hey we just try to keep going. :? This tends to be a gloomy time of the year anyway, so let's try and keep the mojos working......all the way...'til the wheels fall off and burn...0

In London it was nice & warm, dry, and light by the time I reached the office. Lovely. I had on shorts, baselayer & fleece and was still a bit too hot.road0

It won't end. It stopped for April last year but that was it!It's all good.0

Yep it's really mild here in the Smoke...only had on lightweight tights, shortsleeved baselayer and jersey and I was still too warm really, even with the zip on the jersey down.
It is a bit gusty in certain parts though.0 -

Because it's better than sitting on a bus or sitting in a car in a traffic jam!
Look on the bright side, it can't last forever, can it?0 -

You can go right off some people, 9:42am and it's still dark here in Macclesfield :?0 -

You wouldn't believe how many times I reminded myself of that this morning.... The pedestrians at the lights must have thought I was mad repeating the same sentence over and over again.....0 -
I'm having the same conundrum this morning. I have to cycle in, I can't get the overpriced bus in as I need the bike to get home tonight at 8pm, no-one can collect me.
It's now tipping it down.0 -

You complain but we all know that secretly you love it (just like the rest of us)
Whenever I see an adult on a bicycle, I believe in the future of the human race.

Had the day off today - got wet walking to the shops whilst the car was in for it's MOT.
It's supposed to be frosty tonight ? Then back to more rain.... :?0 -
I to can't complain as this morning was actually quite nice in London this morning!
The rain doesn't bother me to much as it's only water, it's the wind that makes the flats seem like hills that I hate! Also get nasty crosswinds on the main roads to with all the built up areas!
I'm also looking forward to the summer, just hoping we get some better weather then last year as I hardly noticed it then as it was just so mild!0 -
Thankfully the rain has stopped so it looks like a dry ride home is on the cards ( thank god )0

The rain has hit London...never mind, I packed my overshoes etc.0

My Mum gave me a car she felt so sorry for me about the weather. I must have the bug though - still cycling despite some great marshland flooding - 12inches deep in places. Frankly, driving is too depressing... :shock:0

Oh, come on guys the wind and the rain it,s all part of the game. Its ok to have a moan but i bet you are all on your bikes again tomorrow, see- knew i was right. Greetings Ademort. Here in Holland the weather is also anti- carribean, ie wind and rain no sun to be found anywhere, but the cycling shorts are itching to make an appearance, better weather is on its way. Water was up to the bottom bracket in places this morning - Darling Wifey really cannot understand why I prefer to bike in despite her extremely kind offer to get up early and drive me to work. Not sure I can, either!
Strangely though, rain doesn't bother me that much now I've got decent bad weather gear - neither does cold. I think the only thing that'd put me off now is heavy snow or really high winds! In some ways I even enjoy the bad weather, just for the look on people's faces to see me out on the bike.
I need help. :?Even if the voices aren't real, they have some very good ideas.0 -
So far I've had it lucky rain wise - only one wet ride, last friday. Typical that it was wet on the way to college and dry on the way home . . .
The wind makes it such hard work though! It gusts down along the Bath Road like a wind tunnel Swerving all over the place still its more health and sometimes quicker than driving!
Must find some elastic bands to stop my troosers flapping about - tucking them into waterproof socks makes the underneath pair wet as well! was squelching around all day
One fine day in the middle of the night, two dead men got up to fight. Back to back they faced each other, drew their swords and shot each other.0 -

Really....! Start driving and bikers will start tearing your car up because they feel justified for whatever reason.
I'll take the taxi.0
