Will they be able to put together a squad for the Giro and the Tour?

Looks like JV's master plan is working.
Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.

Interesting. I distinctly remember him saying that they would only be competing in one GT per year because anything more than that is too much for clean riders!

But as he says, they could give some of the less experienced riders a go in the Giro and keep the A-team for the Tour.

I had a listen to a fairly lengthy interview with Vaughters on the Competitors Radio show a couple of weeks ago. Sounds like he is keen to target the Giro team time trial. I don't see why they can't enter more than one GT, they have a pretty deep squad, and anyway a rider like Sastre (who I would like to assume is clean) can ride three GTs in a year. I'm sure we can find some clean Frenchies who have ridden two.

Vaughters specifically said 3 GTs in a year was too much, when explaining his reasons for not seeking a ProTour license. He did say they could cope with two, hinting he'd like the Giro over the Vuelta (who wouldn't?).
