Not being a great understander (is that a word?) of forums I dont know how to link it, but I saw a video on You Tube under the title 'Innovate or Die'. A tricycle contraption that filters water for those without a clean water supply. Looks like a good , if probably too expensive solution.
Right up until some one knocks them off
Nope, figured it out. I'm turning into a geek

Interesting,
Ground clearance doesn't look to great but I assume that is a scale mockup, particularly as it looks tiny.
2 US Gallons (I assume by the accent) is 7.5litres. So a full one will weigh 7.5 kilos more than an empty one.
There didn't appear to be any gearing so presumably its a 1:1 drive, thus on the flat equivalent to walking. Down hill could be fun, or bloody frightening, especially if the road surface is bad (er aren't most African roads dirt and many villages connected by tough paths?)
Is it actually going to be possible for the locals to ride that contraption between water and home?
Also saving lives isn't necessarily a good thing. If the quality of life was as good in the rest of the world as it is in Western Europe and North America, just how big would the worlds population be?Do Nellyphants count?

I somehow doubt you'd say that if you were on the other side on the fence.0 -

Nice attitude.
Rather than "In Case of Emergency" contacts in your wallet, I take it you have a "Do Not Resuscitate" card ready for when you get knocked off.
Or is your sentiment just reserved for people in poor countries?0
