Drop the front wheel, lever the pads backwith a plastic tyre lever, (so a s not to damage them) refit wheel, loosen postmount bolts, pull brake lever a few times, centre disc between pads, tighten bolts, (it may take a few attempts before the caliper stops moving to one side when you nip the bolts up) and then they should work fine.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

May I ask how you are finding the brakes apart from this problem? I am thinking of getiing them on my bike, but there are very few reviews about.

  • the brakes themselves are awesome, alot better than the hayes hfx9s ive had before

I've got the stroker trail on my Spesh FSR XC - which came with an 8" rotor on the front and a 7" on the back - perhaps a bit of overkill for an xc/trail bike.

I've also had problems trying to stop the brakes catching, and had to do it again if I've needed to remove the wheel (like when I put the bike in my car). Powerwise the brakes seriously outperform the avid juicy 5s I've had in the past and the easily adjustable lever distance is pretty neat. One warning, the clamp bolts that attach the levers to the bar are very soft - I've rounded mine a bit  CRC have replacements that come with part of the clamp for £5.99.
