I've been working on the conversion of my crosser to disc brakes

The Tektro Aquila Mechanical are really light compared to the Avid, which is a serious consideration, but are they any good?

No experience of the Tektros, but given the reliability and performance of the Avids, would you want to compromise?
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
  • I'm very pleased with the Avid BB7's I have, Very easy to adjust . Excellent stoppers.
    Can't comment on the Tektro
Recipe: shave legs sparingly, rub in embrocation and drizzle with freshly squeezed baby oil.

Avid BB7 are one of the most frequently reviewed and most highly rated items on MTBreview.com: 694 review and 4.64 out of 5 average. Can't argue with that. Have them on my Inbred and they are awesome. In fact they are better than some hydraulics I've experienced.
I'm only concerned with looking concerned
