the bath is always a good one but use the shower head.
Dont forget to have some good bath cleaner about for after or there could be hell to pay."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

buy a kids paddling pool for the living room. just not a good idea to use a presure washer or hose on it.0

Why not clean it in the street ? firstly use a bucket a cloth to get the worst of the muck off then spray all of bike with muck off leave for two mins then simply rinse off and dry with a shamois job done. or popto a local garage and clean there0

In the street, bucket of warm water and big sponge and a bucket to rinse for heavy mud or in bath for light dirt. I keep my bike cleanish not splotless.0

Although our lady friends wouldn't agree - it just makes perfect sense to bathe your bike - its not like you cant rinse the bath down either is it!!!!!0

Like Cheesey says, it's not like you can't wash 'n' rinse the bath out after...Jus be careful, I took me wheels off to wash it (I live in a tiny flat with tiny appliances an small-ish bath) an the forks scratched my bath, feels strange on the bum now like sandpaper, lol.
It's bad enough carrying buckets of water down to wash the car, let alone bike aswell.
Happy bathing...RIDE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!

I have a residents carpark out the back of my flat so clean the bike there. I have been known to clean it in the bath on many occaision but the 'u' pipe often needs claering out as it silts up quite easily.
I know have a 5 litre hozelok (sp) pump action thingy that is a low pressure squirter which costs aroun £22 from Homebase. Easy enough to take in the car too if driving to the trails.
I'll see if I can find a link to it.
Right, an online only one http://www.homebase.co.uk/webapp/wcs/st ... er=7218053 £14. I got the hozelock version from the shop.0 -

That's what I use and it does the job. Keep it in the boot of the car. Up at Carron Valley there's a stream from a reservoir that I use to fill it up.
Quick spray with muck off and some degreaser, stiff brush on any really bad bits then rinse off with the pressure sprayer. Much better to clean the bike just after the ride as it's easier to clean than waiting to get home when the dirt will have dried and hardened.0 -
good advice there you 2 i have a garden sprayer just like the one you mentioned
iam sorted cheers

I usually wash the worst off outside then strip down to clean the rest every couple of weeks. (Do chain every week though) Any more than that is overkill tbh, particularly if you keep your bike inside, just keep it on a sheet so any mud that drops off doesn't make a mess.0
