I-beam posts for XC

I'm thinking of fitting an I-Beam post set up to my full bouncer- i'll be using it for a lot of stuff, but are they comfortable for all day riding? I head they're a bit harsh, but I don't think this'd matter on a 5" travel susser.

I brought this up on a post a while back as to why the I beam system was so rare considering the benenfits it brings, ie weight and strength. I have a I beam bell air sl saddle and use the Carbon (supposed for road use only) and it is both extremely light and very strong, I have it fitted to a harcore hardtail and am a big lad and believe me it can take some abuse, I find it a very good easy to use and simple design and can't understand why it hasn't caught on more. look for the other post, it got a fair few responses.0

Well, I just want something I can't/won't break and that seems to fit the bill. It was just the comfort that worried me.0

I found with the alloy post it could be a bit harsh (on my hardtail) however the carbon post seems to absorb a bit of the buzz etc so is fine (on my hardtail) the saddle can and does still have the ability to flex. On your full suss this is a moot point anyway as your shock will be doing all the comfort anyway. I highly recommend it as a system.0

Well, I'm sold- carbon post ordered for the XC racer, and an alu one for the bouncy bike.
