Just wondering if anyone has used these or knows of someone who has, how do they compare to say the equvilent mavic rim and what are the hubs like?

XTR's anyday. Id only trust easton as far as handlebars and seatposts.

Well no, I am getting a pair, and I don't know wether to sell them and buy say pro 2's on 819s or something like that instead

The XTR wheelset is geared towards XC riding, the Easton set the other way, for FR (and heavier too).
