I have an unused 2005 S-works E5 frame which I'm thinking of building up. Anyone know which type of integrated headset Specializeds use - the Campag style 45/45 bearings or the Cane Creek compatible 36/45 bearings?
Thanks.

  • rj, I recently found the Hope 36/45 integrated headset to fit into an 08 Spesh Tricross frame. We are a Specialized dealer, so I could give Specialized a ring Monday to find out if the '05 frame has similar dimensions, and let you know on here.

Thanks cheeky - that would be really helpful mate.
  • Hi - i've got one. it's the FSA Orbit II
  • Rj, I have it from Spesh that it's a 35/45 bearing you'll be needing. So there you go. Just sorry it too so long - I couldn't find this post yesterday!

I've googled it and the FSA Orbit II seems to come as a non-integrated headset, where the E5 takes an integrated type?

apologies, yes it's the integrated FSA Orbit you need. I have an original Specialized Mindset II in mine but the integrated Orbit also fits.
