What's your oldest ike part?

Can't really remember which is mine, it's either an 18 year old XT seat post or a set of Tioga Farmer Johns which I think are older and just keep getting transferred between bikes for pure lunacy in the mud.

Somebody's probably using something older, and frames will be any easy one.

And yes, it's friday, I'm bored and can't wait to go out tomorrow morning to get extra muddy after all this rain.
Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

Who are you calling inbred?

I've had some Mavic XC317 wheels with Hope XC hubs for a very long time but not sure I can compete with 18yrs.

Transferred a CK headset over 4 frames too.

A caliper mounting screw, washer and a lock nut from my old Continental.
Oh yeah, a broken cable. I love that cable.

It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.

    Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result

    1984 1984 1984!

Weren't things still being made from iron back then? Must be how its lasted so long!

If I had anything that age it'd unfortunately be far too small for me now. I did love that 3rd hand Grifter though!

    Excellent thread!

Mine's a red Specialized plastic bottle cage that I put on my Handjob for short rides when the Camelbak is dirty. Probably dates from 1989, but I haven't had it carbon dated.

  • Giant bar ends from '95. Bought them in Whistler! Can't compete with '84 though I was only 10... Wonder what happened to that BMX I had then.

Just thinking the same reply, a vital component that I've transfered from my various bikes in the past but only a 1971 vintage.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Still riding a 1990 GT Karakoram. It has several updated bits but the frame is great I took it out the other day and it was great really light after the Scott, full suspension.

In my Dads' garage, a 1909 BSA tourer - sit up and beg handlebars, looks great fun! Its huge though!

One fine day in the middle of the night, two dead men got up to fight. Back to back they faced each other, drew their swords and shot each other.
