Does any body know if I can replace my Truvativ GXP external bottom bracket with the new Hope one.

The GXP is poorly sealed and made of cheese.

as the gpx uses different size bearings at each end i would say no. But there is no info on Hopes webby so call them.

Thing is I had lots of people tell me different things. So I rang Hope and they said its OK and they would know. The gxp runs smooth but dirt and water gets in and makes a grinding noise, the hope unit should be fine.

i am not sure as the GPX does have different sized bearings, So i guess that they do make one for the GPX and one for the X-type HTII.

Make sure you get the correct one.

CRCs website says its "ideal for Shimano, Race Face, FSA and others". No direct mention of Truvativ and no options within the page other than colour. Sure Trauvativ is "others" but I'd be cautious.

no matter, they dont always get it correct. and the GPX does use different sized bearings on each side.

Nicklouse, I emailed the info desk just to be sure, the tech guy said yes the info guy said no.So I rang them back. You are right enough its not compatable,It will fit through the hole but because of the larger size of the non drive side,it wont work. They might release something later but he could not confirm this.

Is there any replacement or improvement for the GXP?Id rather not replace my bearings every 6 months. If thats the case ill just save up and buy an LX crank and BB,then when that wears out Ill get a Hope.

    BUGGER
