Hi All

I have a Selle Italia Flight saddle in black, its pretty tatty but very comfortable. The sides have gone grey, rather than replace it what can I do? Should I use black shoe dye, anybody done this ?

Cheers

Just leave it as it is.
If it's comfortable and suits you why bother about the aesthetics?
Unless of course you are just a cake stop cyclist.

I've got a couple of original Flites in similar condition. I have used leather oil to stop them drying out, but wouldn't use a dye, particular if you have coloured shorts - otherwise the dye will transfer
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

You can rest your bike up 'with pride' next to all the other barely ridden but very shiny bikes when your club stops at the cafe. Then drop them all on the first hill because you've actually been riding your bike.

Unless it's just faded because you left it in the sun. In which case buy a new one.

Hypocrisy is only a bad thing in other people.
