A cheap bike thats still good could be the vortex le from saracen. I mean, hydraulics an alley frame and a set of five d's for 300 quid-you cant go wrong

That saracen looks like it's got the same frame as my nzyme.
very strong and has coped with pretty much everything, including the indignity of being turned into a single speed.Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.
Who are you calling inbred?0 -

What is your budget range? Is light weight an issue, or do you want discs or any features? Long rides, techincal riding? Or just a bit of everything? The more info you can give us about you and what you want, then more options will be put forward. In the end, its best to test a few, after making a shortlist.0

What is your budget range? less than £400
Is light weight an issue, or do you want discs or any features? No
a bit of everything? yes
The more info you can give us about you:
age: 15
height: 6' 5"
riding trails in lake district
if need any more details just ask0 -
6ft 5 at 15, do you stand in a bowl of fertilizer all day?!
For 400 quid, the GT Avalanche 2.0 disc stands out for me - stiff, damped adjustable fork, twin piston hydros, full shimano running gear, inc crank and BB, tough frame, good wheels. For me, 400 quid is now the hot pice point, where features of far more expensive models are arriving. You seem to get considerably more than 300 quid.0 -
no i dont stand in a bowl of fertilizer all day.
so your saying get the GT Avalanche 2.0, its the best for the price?0 -
For me, yes. Very good spec for the money. Might be able to find it cheaper in some places.0
