Hi all,

As the tittle says I'm thinking of buying a second hand Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Comp 2007. Do any of you have one? and if so could you give me your opinion.

Thanks in advance.

  • The 2007 Stumpy got lots of good press and is certainly worth a look if you can find a good one.

I`ve ridden the 2006 version, and found it to be a nicely balanced bike.

You could try a wanted ad on this site,or www.singletrackworld.com

However,Instead of taking the slightly risky route of buying secondhand, why not see if you can find a 2007 sale bike?

    What`s your budget?

Another alternative for you would be something like this Trance 3,which at £640 is a bargain. There are some higher specced Trances there too, depending on your budget.

A Trek Fuel EX8 would be another bike to look at.

The Stumpy is a good bike, but don`t discount the Trek or Trance,on which you are likely to get a better deal.

  • I have had one for 15 months excellent bike i changed the rear mech and shifters to xt after i got sick of the sram shifters playing up, and i had to replace the bottom bracket after 6 months, it had an annoying click in the rear shock which was cured at the 12 months service , the only other thing is it uses a lot of brake pads

    My Avids stop me!
Avids do tend to squeel a bit but they do work very well, anyway the squeeling lets people know you are there

Thanks for your input, I'll leave the Juicy 5's on for now and see how they preform.
