Rock Shox Domain U-turn problem

Had them on the new bike for about 2 weeks now, and have been fine, but after todays riding the u-turb seemed a little stiff, so when i tried to turn it the whole u-turn thing moved as normal, but also was undoing the nut underneath it, thus not increasing or decreasing the travel at all, just taking the forks apart lol.
No i tried the little alan key bolt and loosen that right off, this made me able to increase the ravel again, but something there isn't quite correct :?

Took it apart, ther was no grease what so ever there, so packed some grease in, now runs sooooo smooth:)
