I have a Giant reign with 26x2.35 Kenda Nevegals tyres and the wheels are wtb laser disk trail rims.
I,m after some tyres and wheels same size for the road but dont want slicks i would like half and half can anyone assist please thanks in advance mik.

  • Something like the Schwalbe Racing Ralph,Conti Speed King or Panaracer Razer, might help inject a bit of speed, but still give some off road ability.Ideally try one of these on the back first, and see what improvement you get,and leave the grippier Nevegal on the front.
I use a Racing Ralph on the back in summer,as the rear wheel makes the biggest difference when reducing rolling resistance.Keeping a grippier tyre on the front stops the front end washing out, when cornering.

A tricky one. This sort of has a mix of tread and slick but I'm not sure if its quite what you mean. Do you mean the type with tread on the outside of the tyre and semi slick on the inside?

As for the wheels, Id go for anything with a deore hub upwards and a set of mavic, bontrager or something similar for the rims. You might not be too fussy though if its just for road. Up to you.[/url]
