I got his autograph twice - once when in Manchester airport when he was England Manager (or about to be) and once in a curry house in Hale when he was city manager (or just had been).
He was the only footballer I remember from childhood - that hair!

It is not fixed. It is single speed in that only one sprocket of the block can be used.

I remember seeing this on TV, in the original broadcast, and a few times since. He got the front end flapping around at maybe 12mph. When he came off he collected some grazes to a shoulder. Now this is why I remember it so well - the commentators shouting and screaming about terrible injuries.

He'll be another glorious loser for the Toon, but since when has winning anything ever mattered to Newcastle fans?

What do I ride? Now that's an Enigma!
