Hello all
Excuse me for posting this here, but i am not a racer, merely a commuter that has foolishly committed himself to a challenge this summer.
I've always had second hand hybrids / road bikes, riding them as a commuter for 20 of my 29 years, and know nothing about the glamorous world of 'new bikes'. having signed up for the etape* this year (i am terrified) i need something a bit whizzy. any pointers for something around the £500 mark; apologies, i know this is a well worn topic, but your thoughts would be appreciated.
Tom
*reckon i'll be able to stop for fag breaks?

the irony is, for about £500 you can get a Lemond Etape
yes, Etape is the model name, no idea if its suited to the event tho i'm afraid!
best bet is to get down the local bike shop and find a road bike you're comfortable on that fits you well.My signature was stolen by a moose
that will be all
trying to get GT James banned since tuesday0 -
Just had a look on Evans website - that is a very nice looking bike, damned sexy in fact (but then I suppose one should not go on looks alone).0
