Setting up XT rear V Brakes

Hi im new here.
I have a question regarding the setup of my rear XT V Brakes.
I cannot seem to get them at the correct tension.
I have them in the centre spring hole and am currently using the bigger of the 2x spacers on the blocks.
They sit slightly too wide apart unlike the front which sit perfectly.
I have recently replaced the rear LX's with these XT's and did not have the same issues with the rear LX.
I have tried the other spring hole positions but that seems to alter the angle of the pads onto the rim too much and ive adjusted up the individual springs on each side to maximum tension.
Can anybody please offer any advice?
Thanks in advance.

have a read of the info on Parktools.
But using the alternate spring mounting holes has NO diference on the pad angle. How can it it still pivots about the same place.
if the arms are to far apart then use the smaller spacers."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Because it affects the link angle, therefore it does change the pad angle face.
You can clearly see that the rotatrion of the spring base will push the link connected to the pad face up, and therefore tilt it around its own pivot point.
You can see how in these pics.

No worries, Ive got it as good as I think it can be without me fabricating some adaptor to add some extra spring tension to the centre position.0
