Will 8-speed Veloce rear gear work with 10-speed levers?

I've currently got 8-speed setup (Xenon levers, Mirage front and Veloce rear) and would like to upgrade to 10-speed

dont think they will, someone can give you a link to a table showing you what with what i expect, as the throw per gear is different, 10 speed is narrower

Oddly i think you can use 10speed compag shifters, with 8 speed shimano block :S not that it helps

Depending on how keen you are, the upgrade to 10spd is worthwhile-I particularly like the 13-26 cassette, with 7 sprockets with 1T difference, with a compact, it;s great, as you're nearly always in the middle of the cassette, with that 1T difference

    Compare that to 12-25
