I am looking to upgrade my bike which is:- http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/ ... s-07-21258
or

but mine is the 2007 model. if you were going to spend money on it (i.e £300 max) what would you upgrade??

assuming you are happy with the fit and comfort of the bike - 'cos if you are not then I woukd say look at bars / stem / saddle until you are happy with the setup
after that - wheels!
Fulcrum3 would be good as mentioned - personaly I'd look for the campag Zonda wheelset which is slightly cheaper - ribble have them at £259 with the shimano compatible hub and there is 10% off that price until the end of january. this leaves a little left to get some nice tyres etc..
If you can stretch another £60 then the model up the Eurus are a better bet - they are a £570 wheel that ribble have at £399 and again 10% off so a real bargain at the moment - so much so that I have just this morning ordered a set in fact!0 -
I'd certainly spend them on wheels. While my bike didn't cost anywhere near yours it came with crap wheels and it was transformed when I bought a set of £400 hoops for it (overkill on a £750 bike I know but I do intend to make them compatible for the new bike).
My only regret is buying the white wheels which I hate to take out on wet roads.
BTW, how are you liking that SystemSix? Cycling Plus seem to love it and while I've got my heart set on a Izoard or Motirolo, if that doesn't work out the SystemSix, a Synapse or a high-end Roubaix or Tarmac are the other prime candidates for my money.0
