Anyone know of a good one in the North/North East?
Just bought a very nice bike so I wanna get the most out of it really. I've been looking at Wheelbase in Kendal. I think thats the closest to me at the moment, but I thought there might be a place down Leeds way that does a fitting service.
Any help appreciated.

Might be worth looking at Cowley Cycles in Northallerton 01609 776656
I was in there a while ago and as well as stocking some decent bikes - Pinarello's, :P Ridley etc, I'm sure they mentioned they do a cycle fit service.
Give them a call.
Hope this helps0 -
wheelbase is a nice store in a lovely location - if you are taking your bike with you for the fitting then try and get an early appointment and get some miles in around the lakes - really nice place. They have a massive car-park and seem to promote customers to use it as a base for trips out.
the road stuff is upstairs and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. It's a bit of a trek for me and a big one for you! - but is my favourite e-LBS (extended-local bike shop! - just made that up..)0 -
sorry - just realised my previous post was practically no use to you at all as you are lokig for somewhere closer to home - anyway - if you decide to come across to the North west - you will hopefully enjoy it.0

Thanks for the info Poucher, i'll give them a ring.
Getting an early appointment at wheelbase sounds like a plan aswell gkerr. I think i'm gonna have to suggest a day out to the Lakes to my dad to give him incentive to drive me over there."A cyclist has nothing to lose but his chain"

Paul Hewitt in Leyland is a very good bike fitter. Just do a search on this site and you will see how many people recommend him.0

I'm thinking of making the trip over to Wheelbase in the near future as I don't believe there's a Wilier dealer in Tyne & Wear, County Durham or Northumberland.
Wasn't aware Wheelbase did the Cycle Fit scheme service but if they do I think I'd rather pop over to Kendal than save a bit of money playing mail order lottery from Epic.
I'll be in Threlkeld in March and one of the proposals someone has made for a rainy day is a trip to Jennings in Cockermouth. If I don't decide to take advantage of Wheelbase's current offer I think I might demand a trip to Staveley. Apparently there's a distillery that I know a certain somoene will be interested in.0
