Removing cassette

ive been on parktools.com and read about removing cassettes, ive got a 2007 XT, and was wondering is there a simple way to remove the cassette with just using basic tools such as an adjustable spanner
would you advise against this?

should i leave it to the LBS?

no. you cant. you need the cassette tool to fit inside the lock ring. oitherwise you wont get it off!

you need something to do the job of a chain whip and then you need the cassette tool.

LBS time if you have neither.
