IR Port for Polar Heart Rate Monitor - Vista
Irrespective of the fact that Polar doesn't officially support Vista their Polar Performance 5 software does however work with it when installed.
My problem is that my old IR Port will not install on Vista and they (Belkin) will not be making any drivers for Vista therefore I cannot download any hrm files without running dual boot with xp and logging right out and back in again. Total pain. I can't run a virtual version of xp as it will only make use of hardware already installed as IR port isn't installed it will not be available through virutalization.
Anybody know of any ir ports that run with Vista that will also connect with my hrm (s710i)? I think it should be Irda 2.0 compliant I think!!

I use this Polar model on Vista with Polar Performance Software 5 (admittedly with a CS600 HRM): http://www.wiggle.co.uk/ProductDetail.a ... 2.0%20IrDA
This works fine - even on my MacBook under bootcamp0 -

Brilliant spot - looked everywhere. Never thought of Wiggle even though I spend lots there and a great bonus is the out the box linux support. Thanks0
