Frame Repaint - Recommendations?

Hi everyone.

Does anyone know where I can go and have my lovely but rather tatty 531 frame stripped and repainted? Is it going to cost me a bomb? I also need to get rid of a little surface rust. Has anyone got any experience of the best products for sanding this off? I live in Stockwell, south london.

    Alves cycles, the guy works in his shed and builds good frames, his name is charles ralph and he lives in the Elgin area. 01343 860382. He takes ages and does not use a website but does a good job. Allow £100.

    Send it to Mario Vaz! He'll do a lovely job and charges a very reasonable £60 for a single colour (any colour!), which includes the bead blast preparation. He'll also carry out any mods you might want - bottle cages, cable stops and such like. He recently did a Shorter fixie for me - blasted, changed the ends to track ends, removed cable stops, painted, lug lining, decals, lacqer - the lot. £160 including VAT

    Very nice fellow and a delight to deal with.
