I'm converting an old MTB for commuting use. I've seen these on ebay:

but know nothing about them. I tempted, they look nice, but does anyone have any experience with them?

Maybe this should go on the MTB forum?

I don't know this make. I'd go for planet x carbon forks myself or perhaps Kona Project 2s. See www.planet-x-bikes.co.uk.

  • Thanks passout.

I did look at the planet x forks, but in the end I plumped for something a bit different, Echo Control from Tarty Bikes:

This was after reflection that some times the bike will be used on some fairly rough terrain and often heavily laden, so I wanted something strong rather than just lightweight. I've got hold of them now, and despite the amazing thickness of the steerer tube the weight is pretty good. I reckon they are porbably totally overbuilt for what I'm using them for, but I think they look pretty cool.
