Hi, some days I head out on 5.5inch full suss but ride more DH tracks needind full face -but over XC kinda distances , meaning helemt off for the climbs.
Question is has anyone come up with an easy low faff way of carrying helmet, other than on the bar ends which gets in way on hard climbs.
I was envisaging someway of mounting helmet to bars that didtn interfer with climbing any ideas? I wont consider the parachute hybrid design i wouldnt have any faith in such in a serious faceplant situation.

i have a camelbak havoc which has a full face sleave on the back. tbh you can rig this on most bags with some bungies.

I cable-tied my helmet to my bag once for the ride to the trail, when I got there, couldn't get the damn thing off. Had to borrow some nail scissors from a woman having a picnic nearby!! Probably made her day though, 3 big lads in full gear asking for some nail scissors!!0

I just bought a Camelbak Chaos which has clips for your armour, shins/knees and full facer. Quite handy, beforehand I would strap my shins/knees to my top tube, wear my armour on the ups (brutal) and have my helmet hanging off the bars, not so easy!0

Buy a Specialized Deviant (£60 at Evans last time I looked) and wear it that way you don't split your head open on the way to the top.

simply strap it to the back of your bag securely just dont use cable ties or chuck your bag on the ground like i do.Ride it hard on a hardtail0
