Bracknell - the Lookout - any tips?
Guys,
friend of mine is organising a trip to Bracknell forest for the week after next I think.
Neither of us have been before, so does anyone have any suggestions or tips regarding the place?
Any places that will be over crowded for example?
Planning to go on a Saturday morning I think.
Cheers

Have fun and find the downhill & single track areas away from the Lookout.
If it;s wet it can get a bit churned over tho.
Get a map (try from gorrick.com website.
Take spare tubes etc and foood / drink.
It's a good place to ride

yeh and you do need to watch out for some corners for example my mate went round a corner and then i heard an ARGH and stopped and came slowly round the corner to see that he had taken a 2 meter drop on his HT XC bike (by accident) and had flown furthur down the trail minus his bike
Although it was funny you do need to be aware of some sections of the trails0 -
Thanks chaps, will take a look at the maps tooFelt F70 05 (Turbo)

The map on Gorrick's page should give you a good idea of the location:

I have never found Swinley to get crowded really, it is only if there is a big group riding that the trails get busy. I was over there on Saturday and found it heavy going as the trails are starting to get a bit muddy with all the rain, but compared to a lot of the country it is still fast and flowing.
If you are new to Swinley the hardest bit is finding the singletrack, it is best if you can find someone that knows it and is happy for you to tag along. Failing that just follow someone from the Lookout carpark! Other wise head towards the Expert mtb area and look out for single track going into the woods.0 -
if you try this site they will point you in the right direction
