Fitting Goodridge Hoses

i have been attempting to put a set of Goodridge brakes hoses on my bike this afternoon and have run into a couple of dicciculties. I have original HFX-9 carbon setup at present.
1. When i go to remove the old hose from the handlebar unit the bolt into the reservoir does not budge. I am using an 8mm spanner (which is an exact fit) but when any pressure is applied it starts to round off the corners.
2. The goodridge hoses came in approx. lengths with no fitting on the end. In the instructions it states to cut the length to suit and to slide the end coupling over the hose, but this seems impossible. I tried twisting the hose and applying pressure to get the fitting on but to no success.
Has anyone ever encountered any of the above, and if so how did they overcome the issues.

did you not buy the required goodridge ends?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

yes all goddridge fittings came in the packet.
The end coupler just seems so difficult to get on fully and I was querying whether i was doing it properly. once this is in place i can fit the other fittings easily.
Also is there any reason why the existings would be soo difficult to get off and start to round of the corners of the fitting?0 -
You need to trim back the outer clear plastic sheath! And with the spanner don't just push or pull with steady pressure, just give it a quick sharpe yank to free the threads works every time! Just make sure the spanner is located fully!0

i was going to trim the outer plastic sheath but on the instructions that come with the hoses it says there is no need to cut it back, as this is for older types of hoses.
If this works then i think this is my problem solved for the fittings.0 -
I Had to trim mine back for it to fit use a bit of lube to help it on!0
