I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result0 -
The one's fitted to the cables on the top tube of my Cape Wrath do naff all, they always slide down to the bottom. I'd like a top tip for keeping them in place as the top tubes getting marked.
Would of prefered cables run elsewhere.0 -
What about getting some Avid Flak Jackets or similar so that the cables are completely sealed thus stopping them from coming in contact with frame0

They always did that on my hardtail, ended up taking them off (found whenever I stopped I'd be sliding them back up the cable, became a bit obsesive in the end )It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.

You wanted a top tip?
On mine I always had the same problem, so I lined up the donuts on each cable (I used 3 per cable, towards each end and one in the middle) then used a dab of superglue each side of the donut and left to dry. They haven't come lose yet, but if they do some type of silicon sealant might be more hardwearing
Should be enough to hold them in position, without interfering with how the cable runs into the outers0 -
Of course removing the cables might be a bit of a pain, but i suppose you could always cut out the run with them on! You also would have to be careful not to glue them to your frame!0

I'll check out the Flak Jackets to see what there like thanks.
lol, it does get a little obsessive moving them all the time.
I did try glueing them once unsucessfully but I put that down to using hotmelt glue.0
