Can anyone suggest a suitable bag to carry a digital SLR & a couple of lenses while out riding a sportive on my Specialized Roubaix Expert?
Preferably not a rucksack but handlebar/saddle mounted.
Thanks.

Ortlieb do a waterproof handlebar bag, and I think you can get padded inserts for it for camera protection.

Yesterday I bought a Crumpler Pretty Boy 2500 (medium) for my dslr. It's well built and can be had on ebay for around £23.
The 2500 version is only big enough for body and kit lense, but is a good snug fit. Each size of the Pretty Boy rises in increments of a few quid.
The Crumpler Pretty Boy L (3000) or XL (4000) might be better for you. They're shoulder/courier type bags0 -
Another Ortlieb "fan"...
Ortlieb stuff is well made and light.
Well worth a trawl of www.ortlieb.de
Not sure if they make a bar bag big enough for your needs though.
They used to make a "laptop" bag.
Crumpler shoulder bags, as mentioned above are good quality, if somewhat pricey.
Lowe Pro do some nice bags, but again perhaps not ideal for cycling with.
Not really exactly what you were looking for, but Carradice is a company I like - English made, very durable, and usually surprisingly light... Here's their laptop bag...

Does anybody here let me know that time "Manfrotto Advanced Camera bag and Laptop Backpack" was also available or not?0
