I was wondering what new products everyone was looking forward to in 2008. What do you think the new next must have will be?
I thought it was going to be the Mavic R-SYS, but people seem very sceptical of them.
What will you be upgrading in 2008?

They are good (not actually ridden them yet but they look ace), I've just got some neutron ultras.0 -
A decent winter bike thats under 27lbs - Ti would be nice, can't cope with dropping a carbon on the ice.
Then Santa could bring a power meter - when will these things come down in price, a flat screen telly is now £400, - £2000 a year or so ago!!0 -

Great wheels (got 2 pairs, Neutron and Neutron Carbon). better than Ksyrium ( I have the Elites) and have never given me any problems over the last 4 years incl. some great rides in the Alps where they've outperformed other ridersmore expensive wheels incl Lightweight Great wheel for not mad money and not everyone has them. People either ride something more expensive or Ksyriums/FulcrumM.Rushton0 -

Brussel sprouts [pPFFeuRRrrtt] and broccolli [parp] for tea tonight [toot]. 'Scuse.
On the bike: better lights - something suitable for pitch dark country roads - and new, lighter rims and tyres. Much cheapness desired.A fanatic is one who can’t change his mind and won’t change the subject - Churchill0 -
Jeez where to begin.... Upgrading-wise, it has to be legs, lungs, technique etc as my priority... but a set of Campag Boras are on the to-buy list, some noo shooz, M5 brakes. Oh yeah and my TT bike is ready for collection. Need to upgrade my gut as well (or is that downgrade?).0

Looking to upgrade me to "McBain_v2" to try and get some performance improvements. More time on the turbo trainer and more time on the roads throughout the year. Also try and get Mrs McBain back on a bike as well.
What do I ride? Now that's an Enigma!0 -
Me thinking maybe wheels- Mavic Aksiums atm so something a bit better would be nice
Maybe something aero....
Or maybe I'll pimp up my bike- Specialized white toupe saddle, red tyres (CSC Vittorias), red or white handlebar tape, some slightly posher wheels, carbon bottle cages.
oh and a decent rate monitor, because mine is so shockingly bad!"I hold it true, what'er befall;

Currently undecided as to whether or not I should upgrade my Vuelta Zerolite wheels (good entry level wheel but a tad heavy) for Campag Ventos (in the region of 1/4 lb. lighter for the pair!) to make the going a little easier on the hills. Surosa in Oldham are doing the '06 Ventos (same weight as the current model) at about 100 quid a pair whilst stocks last, so not sure whether to invest my nigh-on non-existent finances a set..... :?

I've got a massive decision to make this year regarding my summer bike. I can't decide whether to stick with black bar tape or try white....___________________________________________

Also upgrading my Ksyrium Equipes to either Fulcrum zeros, Campag Shamals or Ksyrium Sls.
Oh, and lose about a stone.0 -

Not a clue. Lots of pictures around. No prices or dates.....0 -
New bike in spring, a Challenge Fujin SL-II with a Novosport carbon fibre tailbox. Very tempted to get some HED Jet wheels with it too, but that may be pushing the budget a wee bit too far...0

On the Assos website today for the 1st time. Came across a nice jacket on it (the Fugu) and thought, hummm I wonder how much that is. Went onto Wiggle and low and behold it's two hundred and fourty slaps in the face with a wet fish. The sweet divine Lord himself couldn't afford one of those! I WANT ONE!Every winner has scars.0

Clearly a man of taste. i use a burr grinder (your gaggia grinder is too), but don't grind too fine as you wont get the coffee thro'. Try to find a local Gaggia dealer who will demo the best way to use the Espresso machine. Avoid crappy beans and don't forget to warm your cups and always aim for a good crema. You will have to be v.patient as getting the coffee right is aprocess of trial and error, but once you get it - fantastico! Only trouble is - espresso on tap which means a lot of sleepless nights but we love our Gaggia. Glad to see you didn't get one of those stupid £1000 machinesM.Rushton0
