just stuck my new avids on.
Trouble is with the reach adjustment set right for me, and the pad contact adjuster all the way out, the lever is still coming too close too the bars. Andwith no adjustment left if it starts to come back further as the pads wear im screwed.

Is there a way round this? i cant see re-bleeding helping. Is the movment of lever from reach to pad contact determined by the clearance between pads and disc?

Maybe if I pump the calipers out a bit it would solve the problem, at the risk of more brake drag?
cheers

take all the adjust ment of and pump the levers and hold in place over night (zip tie or other) then set in the morning.

thx, is that not a bleeding issue? i used to that on my sportsbike come to think of it.
How does this technique work, it cant purge air from the system can it> as its sealed unit unless you open the reservoir or bleed nipple?

I will try tonight n let ya know

it just allows the pistons to settle where they need to be.
