any chance of seeing the "raw footage" of your ride before youtube etc messes it up? interested in seeing the actual quality of the atc2000 not the youtube quality ;) pretty please!

if you have an sd comp video device and your at llandegla tommorrow yo will be able to see what i have on the memory.
  • I have an ATC1000 which is the old version of the ATC2000, it runs at only half the Frames per second that the ATC2000 runs at and is therefore only half the quality. Plus I think the ATC2000 is upgraded in other ways too in the spec of the device so it should be better all round.

Some footage here on and off 'Youtube'

Have you tried mounting it to the frame? I used to mount mine on my helmet but found it to be really hard to get a good view of the trail as your head is always moving around or mostly pointing down at the ground watching for Doggy Doos :?

Sore ribs.................I must start walking the trail 1st before steep descents into the unknown!

  • Awesome!! Ive been meaning to get some footage of Llandegla for a while but its always been raining or very overcast and too dark for decent footage. Going to Macc forest tomorrow morning so if its not pouring with rain I may take the Camera!

is llandegla ok for novice riders?

has anyone seen the mbuk article this month? one of the pictures shows a terrifying bit of board walk which looks like it has a vertical face to cycle up to get onto it, (abit like a water wheel with a guy riding over the top of it!!) is ther more to the pic than it looks like?

That board walk was a bit daunting to say the least, I got taken down the Black runs by my mates on my first trip there and just to make it interesting my first go with SPD's :!:

Only fell off once though and I coped with all the descents etc just not all the climbs as my fitness needs working on a bit more :?

    I think beginiing was open

Never been b4 so not sure if all ride was open - did not come across the high boardwalk section in photos, so unless they are part of black that must have been shut.

Being cheeky - next time u are in our local patch (macc forrest) Ne chance a couple of novices could tag along. Could do with picking up some tips on technical stages etc

    Cheers

Everything there is rollable, just take it at your own pace and you'll be fine. It's a good place to progress, as you can gain confidence by just rolling stuff then as you get better you can pin it and create doubles etc.

I saw a guy (not an experienced ridier either) there today riding the Black runs on a completely rigid bike!

  • Excellent (Riding Pass)

Unfortunately I no longer live in Macclesfield ( Used to live in Townley Mill just off Sunderland St ) so as a Result only go up there if I meet my mates who live Stockport and Altrincham.

Although next time I'm up there ( which won't be next weekend as I have my Daughter on that weekend ) I will post a topic on the rides section a little earlier to give other Macc riders a chance to see it and Poss meet up?
