Hi,
Just looking at buying a commencal supreme 6.2 this weekend but i'm a bit stuck on the frame sizing.
It comes in 18" or 19.25".
I'm aroung 6"3' but my height all in the torso with an inside leg thats a bit shorter than the arverage 6"3' guy. I'll be using the bike for general single track and freeriding. So i want to be able to pedal comfortably but be able to manover it easily and throw it over drops and jumps with ease.
Which size woukld anyone recommend?

Thanks
FLINNY

If you can, test ride them both. You might find the large is too long in the cockpit for example.

Its an internet shop so no chance of a test ride.
    Does anyone have an opinion?

This will be hard to judge without testing. Persoanlly, for a bike of its type, I would errr on the side of caution and get the smaller frame, with a long seatpost. Still no assuirance the reach will suffice. Do you know the top tube measurements, and can you compare to your existing bike?

the top tube length is 570mm on the 18" and 595mm on the 19"
also the seat tube length is 460mm on th 18" and 490 on the 19"
And my existing bike is a 16" frame jumpbike that i thrash around the trails. Looking for a bike that i can ride aggressively on everything

Having shorter legs would mean you have a larger upper body: the extra length of the 19 frame may be better for you. However smaller frames are generally better for harder riding. Hopefully some owners can comment, or even contat commencal.

I contacted the shop owner and he recommended the large. But i don't know if it will suit an aggressive riding style. With a longer frame I might be leant forward too much and then my back might ache.
To be honest my leg extention won't be affected too much with 3cm less so pedalling won't be affected too much and i think the shorter top tube might suit my riding style.
I think your right and i need an owner to comment on how the bike rides.

    thanks

hey there, i have a commencal supreme 6.3. im 6ft1 with 32" ins leg and i opted for the sm/med but again you really need to try it for yourself cos whats good for me may not be for you. if i was a little taller id prob prefer the med/large, but as there is a telescopic seatpost sm/med was fine for me. commencal webby states if you are over 1.80m then its large for you, but thats just a guide really. im over that and chose the smaller frame.

i only spend about 2-2 1/2 hours at a time on this bike, but on longer rides i think med would start to get uncomfortable.its a fairly chuckable bike in med but i never rode the large to compare so cant really comment on the differences but i like a smaller bike anyway

if you are doing mainly dh/fr and prefer a small frame i would go for sm/med,however at 6ft3 it may be a little cramped for you.

are there no commencal dealers near you to try one? its the only way to be sure.

prob not much help but like i said, whats right for me may not be right for you.

p.s its a fantastic bike, pedals great and can take a fair bit of abuse. a little bit heavy tho, but solid over all. :D

    Hi,
Have just ordered the bike in a large/xlarge. I think it will be about right for me. Went to a specialized dealer and sat on a 19" sx trail and it felt the right size. Thanks for your help every :)
