Anyone know how much, percentage wise, you get for trading in your 'dale in their Frame Exchange Program? Anyone ever done it? From what to what? I'm considering going from CAAD5 to Six13. The 2007 Six13 clear gloss is a bute.

  • This is from the Cannondale website, it basically says check with your dealer.

Thanks schlepcycling. I've been offered 25% off the cost of a new Six13 (2007) frame with my CAAD5 from my local 'dale dealer. Just wondering if this is good or not or if anyone has done it before. My Saeco CAAD5 (2005) is in mint condition.

General rule of thumb when sellling second hand is 40% of what you paid, so 25% of a six13 seems fair enough. I've had a Six13 and it's a great frame

Thanks Colin. 40% of my CAAD5 works out exactly at 25% discount on the new cost of a new Six13 frame. I'm trying to negotiate that the frame I'm looking for is a 2007 frame and see if they can offer a further discount.

  • I have done it a couple of times.

Always worked out quite well for me. chopped in my really really old MTB frame from the back of my garage against my new shiny Super Six frame. Money for nothing really!

    Bargain!

Are there any shops in the UK offering this service?
  • I know Bike Chain in Cornwall (01209 215787) www.ricciltd.com always did. I presume they still do. Ask for Olly, he is a god.
