I ran a set of Schwalbe City jets for over 2000miles, 90psi, gave me no problems in all weather conditions.......

What are you planning on riding? A full slick will be faster and you can get over most things with them, plus they'll improve your bike handling and snap reflexes no end...0

mainly commuting every day but may have to go through the woods occasionaly.
also a bit of off road use at weekends0 -
Two sets of tyres, one full slick and one semi, much better than trying to use one set for everything.
If there isn't any uphill in the woods on your commute then I'd say specialised fatboys, insanely fast and have very good grip on tarmac, and are okay going down offroad as long as you don't need to turn.0 -
I can second the panaracer mach ss great on the roads...can overtake the roadies :P + they are useable on light off road (ie grit tracks etc)0

lol, let the MTB vs Roadie bashing begin.........
Have to admit when I used to commute on my MTB ( now using a road bike ) I had great pleasure sitting on the tails of roadies and then passing them on the climb to my house, simple things amuse simple people.... Nothing todo with the bike or tyres, I'm just a cycling god and my middle name is Lance....0
